Dear Local 204 member,
As we head toward an October 8 strike date, our union needs members to volunteer to be picket captains, or else our picket lines won’t function and people won’t get their strike pay on time.
What does a picket captain do?
They just help people sign in at the start of a picket shift and help keep the picket line safe and orderly.
How do I do it?
There is a 2-hour online training you can register for. They are offered at different times, including evenings. Please pick a date and time that works for you and register here:

Is it hard?
No! It’s very simple to help your coworkers get their strike pay by signing them in at the start of a picket shift.
Will I miss out on essential service shifts if I’m a picket captain?
No! It has no impact at all on your essential service shifts.
Can I recruit coworkers?
Absolutely! Please do!
