Bargaining Update Sep 11 2024
On Thursday last week, CUPE presented the employer a package of proposals that seeks significant changes to the recently rejected tentative agreement.
Our bargaining team submitted proposals that reflect what we heard throughout the ratification process including wages that catch up, recruitment and retention initiatives, immediate improvements for home care workers, and more.

Bargaining Update
On August 22nd, our bargaining team identified an issue affecting the ballot sorting for CUPE 204 members at WRHA and Shared Health. Some members who work in both community and facility support may not have received all the ballots they were entitled to.

Reminder To Vote
This is your collective agreement and the decision is in your hands. Starting tomorrow, CUPE health care workers will be voting to either accept the agreement or to reject it and to authorize strike action. We know that your coworkers and CUPE friends are counting on you to cast your vote, and have your say in your wages, benefits, and working conditions.
